FAMU: in Bra many free activities for Families at the Museum

On the occasion of FAMU, the National Day of Families at the Museum, on Sunday 13 October 2024 the museums of Bra are offering workshops and activities with free admission on the theme of environmental sustainability, in addition to the possibility of visiting the collections and exhibition routes.

The Civic Museum of Palazzo Traversa will host a multisensory workshop, using touch, smell and sight to discover the most curious aspects of ancient archaeological finds. This year's theme is "A green museum" and will focus on environmental sustainability in the cultural field. Families will be able to make a small clay artifact by decorating it with natural and recycled materials, which will be fired and can be collected at the museum the following week, a pleasant memory of the shared experience.
The activity will take place from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm (duration of the workshop approximately 1 hour) with departure times chosen by the families and last entry at 5:00 pm. Participation is open to all and is recommended for families with children aged 5 and up.

The Toy Museum will instead offer an animated visit to discover the toys and families of the past. What role did games and playing have within families? Who bought the toys and where? Did only children play? And the adults? The thematic tour will take place during visiting hours, scheduled as follows: 10:30 am - 11:30 am - 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm.

At the Civic Museum of Natural History “Craveri” it will be possible to participate in the free workshop “Seed balls for a greener world”, dedicated to children aged 4 to 10 and created in collaboration with A.Di.P.A. (Association for the diffusion of plants among amateurs). The reading of a short themed fairy tale will be followed by a creative green activity, aimed at spreading the protection of biodiversity. The workshop will take place at the following times: 10.30-11.30 and 15.30-16.30. Reservations are required until places are filled by 12 noon on Friday 11 October by calling the museum or writing to the email: craveri@comune.bra.cn.it.

The Zizzola Museum will be open and can be visited from 10 am to 6 pm, to discover the customs and traditions of Bra d’antan.

All activities and visits are free of charge. More information on www.museidibra.it.
