In celebration of FAMU, National Family Day at the Museum, on Sunday, October 12, 2025, Bra's museums are offering free workshops and activities on the topic of environmental sustainability, as well as the opportunity to visit the collections and exhibitions.
At the "Craveri" Natural History Museum, visitors will discover "Green According to Me": a reading of an illustrated book and a creative activity with natural materials. The activity, aimed at children aged 5 to 11, will be led by Milena Bellonotto, a specialist in children's and adolescent literature. The workshop will take place from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Reservations are required at +39 0172 412010. Due to construction work on Via Craveri, the museum entrance will be at Via Provvidenza 34.
At the Civic Museum of Art, History and Archaeology in Palazzo Traversa, participants can enjoy the workshop "If I Were an Animal I Would Be...". Starting with a reading of Eric Carle's book "From Head to Toe," boys and girls will play at experimenting with their own bodies by assuming the positions characteristic of various animals, simultaneously reviewing their body schema. They will then have the opportunity to explore their imagination and creativity by transforming the museum's portraits into animals. The goal is to start with a portrait and try to imagine which animal that character might be. The activity, recommended for ages 5 and up (children not in school must be accompanied by a parent), will take place from 10:30 am to 12 pm. Reservations are required by calling the museum at 0172.423880.
The Toy Museum will also host a creative workshop using recycled objects. After the guided tour, families will be invited to unleash their playful imagination by building small toys and/or characters using corks and snacks, following the ancient custom of recycling waste materials. The activity, for groups of up to 25 people (adults and children), will last 90 minutes and will take place at 10:30 am, 11:30 am, 2:30 pm, 3:30 pm, and 4:30 pm. Reservations are required at 0172 430185 (Saturday and Sunday: 3494565848).
The Zizzola Museum will be open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, allowing visitors to discover the legends, customs, and traditions of Bra in the past. Children will be able to participate in activities in the children's room, including coloring and building a Zizzola.
All activities and tours are free. More information at www.museidibra.it.
